Otley Campus | Fixed Term Contract | 37 hours per week | 40 weeks per year | £24,200 per annum pro-rata
Easton & Otley College have a new and exciting role within Foundation Learning at the Otley Campus. This role is centred on offering a wraparound service to our students with additional needs. You will lead on all pastoral related issues within the department, ensuring you help students remain in their lessons and engaged in their studies, adding strategies to support plans to help build resilience in all students as you promote independence and maturity. The overall aim is ensuring our students make real progress towards their goals/outcomes.
You would also lead on delivering schools work including taster sessions, tours and bespoke packages. This is an important role within the department and key to ensure we grow the department further.
As the Welfare Officer you will also support with the interview process, individual IAG and EHCP reviews. You will be a voice for the student and play a vital role contributing to important meetings and reviews.
This is a full time position working 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year. The 40 weeks consist of 36 term time weeks with an additional 4 weeks of which the dates are determined by the department needs and training. Please note this is a fixed term contract for one academic year until approximately 10th July 2020.
