Thousands attend college big day out

24 May 2017

The Otley Campus Big Day Out attracted around 3000 visitors last weekend.

The occasion – called the Big Day Out – had a variety of activities taking place at the Otley campus of Easton and Otley College.

Highlights included the sheep show, face your fears challenges with creepy crawlies and vintage car displays.

All profits from the occasion will be donated to the college’s two charities of choice. This year St Elizabeth Hospice and the RSPCA are set for a cash boost.

The event – that returned to the Suffolk calendar after a three year absence – was a great success according to organiser, Adele Wyse.

She said, “We would like to thank the local community for coming out to support us. It was a really great day for everyone.”

Sue Durrant from Ipswich said, “We have several grandchildren and they love it. Seeing the animals was a highlight. We will be back next year.”

Highlights from the day can be seen on the college facebook page:
