14 December 2017
A silver medal winning Olympian visited the Easton campus to oversee a dressage clinic for equine enthusiasts.
Spencer Wilton - who grew up in Suffolk - has won 13 national dressage titles in his career that peaked when claiming a team silver medal for Team GB at the 2016 Olympic Games held in Rio.
The 44 year old expert - who has worked with the likes of Carl Hester, Lucinda Green and Mark Todd - was at the Easton campus on Saturday 9 December 2017.
He taught 12 lessons during his visit and will be coming back to the college’s state of the art equine centre in March owing to the popularity of this visit.
Organiser, Duncan Whitney-Groom who is the Equine Centre’s Commercial Manager said, “It was a real pleasure to welcome such an esteemed equestrian expert to the college. Spencer handed out his expert advice to a variety of riders and wowed attendees with his experience, passion and knowledge of dressage.
“These sessions with Spencer followed on the back of a visit from Monty Roberts and shows that the equine centre at our Norfolk campus is gaining a great reputation for offering outstanding opportunities to the East Anglian equine community,” he added.
The next sessions in March with Spencer have already sold out. However, if you would like to see the 2018 equine events calendar, please click here.
