Who are we…

Easton and Otley College is one of the UK’s largest independent

colleges specialising in land-based studies. We are focussed on driving a culture of ideas and entrepreneurship, and on offering all our students inspiring and high quality learning, to give them the best possible start to their working lives.


Our ambition…

Ambitious plans and a determination to succeed come with a number of significant challenges. The College has embarked on a rigorous recovery plan to address a range of issues requiring improvement. Which is why we need strong leadership and expert help at to drive progress and to exploit the potential.

This very special College is at the heart of our diverse rural economy. It serves the largest sector in the economy of the east of England, one of the fastest growing regions in the UK. We are absolutely determined to lead the way in inspiring, training and preparing students for the amazing range of jobs and careers that are available in the land-based sector.

From agriculture, animal studies and horticulture, to new technologies in construction and engineering, as well as the potential for national leadership in agri-tech and food science, our ambition is to be recognised nationally as a leader, shaping the future of the UK’s specialist land-based industries.


The role…

This is a voluntary role, with the expectation that you will be available to attend up to 12 meetings a year. These are usually held at either the Easton campus near Norwich, or the Otley campus north of Ipswich. Meetings may be up to 2 hours in length, and begin at 5.00pm on weekdays.

The term of office will usually be 4 years, with an opportunity for re-appointment.
