College students set to help charity ball flower

A partnership between a charity and the college is set to flower over the coming weeks.
Easton based floristry students at Easton and Otley will be teaming up with Leeway to provide floral table displays for the charities upcoming annual ball.
The ball will be taking place at Sprowston Manor in Norwich on Saturday 25 November 2017.
The floristry department at the college are always keen to work with the local community whilst giving learners real life business experiences.
Earlier in the year, student created floral designs for a wedding and they also have worked with the local primary school in Easton, providing posies for youngsters to give to their mums on Mother’s Day. This time, they will be supporting a fundraiser for the Norwich based charity.
Gillian Lincoln from the floristry team at Easton and Otley College, said, “A representative from Leeway contacted us to see if we can work together and we agreed. First up, we will be helping Leeway with their ball. As for the future, we want to support this amazing charity as much as we can.”
Many Proctor, chief executive of Leeway, said, “I would like to that the tutors and students in the floristry department at Easton and Otley College for very kindly offering to create table decorations and donating them to our annual charity ball. Their wonderful decorations will add a very special touch to what will be a fantastic event and I am delighted that they have chosen to support us.”
Other upcoming Leeway events include a Christmas fair and a quiz.
