College Scores 96.4% Employer Satisfaction for Apprenticeships

The College scored a 96.4% satisfaction rate from their employers in the Government’s nationally published ‘FE Choices employer satisfaction survey 2016-17’, placing them first in Norfolk and Suffolk for FE Colleges’ and well ahead of the national average of 84.6%.

The survey, which captures employers’ perceptions on the quality of their training and the College responsiveness to their needs, is the national benchmark for comparing training providers and colleges’ for the work and engagement they do with their employers.

Rob Storer, Director for Services to Business said, “This is an amazing result and testimony to the hard work that both our apprenticeship delivery and sales team have undertaken to ensure we have achieved our focused strategy to improve communication and engagement with our employers.

We are constantly looking at ways in which we can support the businesses we work with and have recently developed a mentor training course to help employers support their apprentices more effectively whilst they undertake their apprenticeship programme.”

Louise Wicks, Head of Employer engagement said, “We aim to support large and small employers with their training needs by providing a wide range of high quality apprenticeship programmes, short courses and bespoke training requirements to ensure we are enabling them to sucessfully train new employees or upskill existing staff.”
