Supported Internships offer external work placements, working with real employers, to develop, build on and mould all students into potential employees. The curriculum will be heavily focused on students working in the workplace. When at college students will engage in employability related topics such as, developing customer service & communication skills, interview preparation and searching for job opportunities. Students will have access to a Job Coach who will support them in the workplace and work alongside the tutor whilst students are in college.
Students need to come onto this provision having already held external work placements and need that final opportunity to get into work.
Work placements will be focusing on key land-based prospects and targeting entry level points into employers.
