    Beginner Tractor Driving

    This course aims to give newcomers to machinery handling the core skills of hand, foot and eye co-ordination and provide the opportunity to learn and practice safely under close supervision. It is suitable for learners aged 13 and over.

    To enroll on this course candidates must be at least 13 years old, have common sense and a mature attitude. Following attendance, trainees from this course should be closely supervised at all times and a risk assessment be carried out in all circumstances, as required by the Health and Safety executive.

    Course Content includes;

    • Safety
    • Use and recognition of controls
    • Driving Safely
    • Tractor and Trailer driving and some instruction on 3 point linkage.
    • Learn the basics of tractor driving in a safe environment. The course includes basic maintenance, hitching and maneuvering a trailer. 

    9am - 4.30pm

    Important Note
    This course carries an Easton & Otley College Certificate of Attendance ONLY. It does not equip attendees to drive on public roads or highways and it is not a qualification. Driver testing and licensing is dealt with by DSA and DVLA. Booking of theory and practical driving tests can be made by calling 0800 0101372.


    Novice Tractor Driving

    Applications for Further Education full time, access to HE, apprenticeships and part time courses are made online. Go on to the relevant course page and click on the 'Apply Now' button to start the application process.     Students aged 19 ( as of 31 August) and above can study any of our part time or short courses as well as our Access to Higher Education and Higher Education programme. Some of floristry, horticulture and arboriculture courses may also be available to adult learners. Please contact the College Admissions Team for more information, 08000 224556. Adult learning

    Yes, you can speak to the College Admissions Team on 08000 224556 who can provide general course choice advice and guidance or you can drop in to one of our Course Advice Days.

    Course Advice Days are normally held on Saturday morning's from 9am-12pm. They provide an excellent opportunity to speak to course tutors, find out more about the courses we offer, have a tour of the facilities and speak to Student Services about any non academic questions like transport or bursaries.     We also have our campus open days, known as a 'Big Day Out' which take place in the summer term. Both campuses and facilities are available for you to explore, speak to tutors and students, watch demonstrations and have a go at activities. If you like what you see you can also make an application on the day. Details on the Big Day Out will be advertised on our website nearer the time

    The College Admissions Team will send out letters to all students aged 19 and over, on relevant courses, providing all the information needed from Easton & Otley College to enable you to make an online application with Student Finance England. These letters will be sent out during the summer term.

    Applications for the college bursary are made online. You should make sure that you read the guidance notes prior to making an application to ensure that you are eligible. Further information can be found on Financial Support

    For students resident in England and aged 18 and under on 31 August, before they are due to start their course in September, then your full time course fees are fully funded.
