This degree programme will provide a route for progression as a top-up from Easton College's current Foundation Degree in Agricultural Management (and similar Foundation Degree programmes elsewhere). The programme will also be aimed at those currently working in agriculture, and others who wish to combine study with structured employment in the sector, allowing them to gain relevant experience, to apply their experience to their academic studies and to continue to earn a salary.

Teaching methods are tailored to the subject area and the aims and learning outcomes of the particular modules studied. These include practical’s, group activities, lectures, workshops, problem solving, tutorials, e-learning seminars, external visits and guest speakers.

Students will demonstrate their knowledge, skills and abilities through a range of assessment methods to enhance the learning experience and reward valuable workplace skills. Assessment methods may include laboratory reports, essays, practical observation, reflective journals, literature reviews, case studies, presentations, debates, written examinations, project and peer review.

Entry Requirements

240 HE credits (including 120 at Level 5) and a successful interview. GCSEs in Maths, English and Science at grade C or above are desirable. Mature students and students already employed will need a range of qualifications, and prior work and learning experiences will be taken into account, accredited and considered at interview stage.

Students with English as a foreign language: Applications from students from all backgrounds are welcome. We require evidence of proficiency in English (including writing, listening, speaking and reading).
