Prevent & British Values

Prevent is part of the Government's counter-terrorism strategy and Easton and Otley College will respond to any Prevent issues or concerns. Ensuring students are safe at the College is of paramount importance. We have a zero tolerance policy to drugs and alcohol and a stringent Safeguarding and Prevent policy focused on the roles that staff and students have to play in the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults.

We encourage and welcome everyone within the community. We believe in the principle of freedom from discrimination for everyone regardless of their age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, ethnic or national origins, social or religious backgrounds.

There is a multi-faith room available on both campuses for prayer, devotion or reflection.

Easton & Otley College promotes the British Values of Democracy, The Rules of the Law, Individual Liberty, Mutual Respect and Tolerance for those with different faiths and beliefs.
