Transport Information

Getting to college is easy. There is an extensive network of direct bus routes to both campuses from across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. Detailed bus routes, stops and times of travel from most locations are available.

To get to Otley Campus from Lowestoft will require getting a train to Woodbridge, then transferring onto a bus. The return journey is the reverse of this, detailed below:

To get to Otley Campus from Cambridge or Newmarket will require getting a train to Ipswich, then transferring onto a bus:

Students aged 19+ from the 1st September applying for a Travel Pass through Norfolk County Council are required to use the application form below. Details on how to submit this are on the bottom of the application form.

COLLEGE BUSES

For routes 116, 118, WE929 and WE007 (Woodbridge onwards) you can apply to Suffolk County Council for a discretionary travel pass (16-18 year olds only). Endeavour cards are accepted on pay daily fares. For more information and on-line applications, please see - www.suffolkonboard.com or contact - 0345 606 6173. For routes OC1, OC2, OC3, OC4, OC5, OC6 and OC7 (Felixstowe to Martlesham Heath) you must apply to Norfolk County Council for a travel pass. WHEN SHOULD I APPLY?

Please ensure you apply for your travel pass in good time - contact the appropriate council directly for further information on their specific timescales. You do not need to wait until your course offer is confirmed or your bursary application has been processed (if applicable).

SPECIALIST TRANSPORT

For students with additional needs or disabilities that are unable to travel by bus, please contact your local county council for information about specialist transport for post-16 education.

IS THERE ANY FINANCIAL SUPPORT AVAILABLE?

There is a College Bursary Fund available which can be applied for. If eligible, the bursary may be able help with travel costs, college meals and other expenses. Please be aware that no bursary payments are made prior to students commencing their course, therefore any payments due before September will need to be made up front.

CAN I DRIVE MY OWN VEHICLE TO CAMPUS?

Students can chose to bring their own vehicles on site. There is plenty of parking available and all car parks are free. Students will need to register their vehicle details at point of enrolment and collect a parking permit from the Student Centre. This will need to be displayed at all times when on-site.
