This role which is based within a dynamic vocational college is essential to helping and supporting PMLD students to find their true potential. It is a fantastic and rewarding opportunity for you to make a real difference at this friendly inclusive college.
This position is to start late August 2017 on maternity cover up to 13th July 2018.
The main focus of this role is to be part of a team working towards meeting the educational needs of students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. The post holder will be responsible for planning and structuring learning activities which produce relevant schemes of work, unit plans and lesson plans, whilst incorporating teaching strategies in a way likely to foster and maintain learners’ enthusiasm and motivation.
The postholder will also lead on sharing good practice around PMLD and ensure all staff involved with your students are communicated with at all times.
Our ideal candidates will be passionate about individual development and have the ability to understand different strategies to get the Students engaged in different activities.
To be considered for this role you will be:
*Have recognised qualifications suited to PMLD including TEACCH
*Have experience with individuals who have PMLD and similar needs
*Experience of safeguarding protocols
*Passionate for equal opportunities
